Widmer Drop Top scored high (with me)
I tried the amber beer, Widmer Drop Top, for the first time last night. Dan, Manuel, Rich and I all went to Tap House last night. Of course I had the choose your own sampler.
The biggest disappointment was that Tap House no longer carries Chamomellow on tap — how sad. The other let down was the Snoqualmie IPA. I just don't think I am a very big IPA fan in general.
The complete list in my beer sampler last night (relatively ranked 1-10 10 being highest)
- Elysian ESB - 7
- Rouge Stout - 6 (it normally tastes much better)
- Snoqualmie IPA - 1
- Widmer Drop Top - 10
Ta-da! There you go — my expert beer scoring.

Here's how I rated my beer for the evening:
- Most of your Snoqualmie IPA - 6
- A sip of your Widmer Drop Top - ??
- No, really. I couldn't really taste it, at all. I sortof got a hint of something tasty.
- Some Elysian ESB - 7
- An entire damned Rogue Hazelnut Nectar Ale - 11
So there you go.

Then why did you keep trying to drink my Drop Top?

The only IPA I've ever liked is from Mac & Jack's. It tastes smooth instead of bitter and nasty like most IPAs.
