My new car
As Dan already alluded to, I have exciting news. I bought a wonderful car today. It's a 1971 Mercedes-Benz 250. Boy is it neat.
Here is the outside:

Here is the inside:

I have had news cars before. Sure they are reliable (most of them) and some are nice looking — they also cost a pretty penny. Having a classic-looking car has always seemed much more exciting. Wow, what a different feel. As for reliability, almost everything is in really great condition and the things that aren't Dan and I are going to fix. By Dan and I, I mean, that anything that I can't break I will help with, but he is doing the real work. Basically, if I didn't have Dan I would have been to scared to get a 35 year old car.
I must point out though, that I actually found this car, not Dan. This doesn't matter at all, but usually Dan is the one that can spot a neat car, before I even know what is going on. We spent all morning going through Craig's list. This pretty car is the only one that I found on my own that we added to the list to check out.
I just can't get over how great this little car is. Not to mention the smooth drive or the adorable buttons and knobs, it just feels great to drive. I am sure I will post more pictures once I have had it a bit longer in day light. As for now, I am going to go read my owners manual so I can figure out some of the mystery knobs.

Mystery knobs? Don't you know that those are to fire the ejector seat, lay out an oil slick, or turn everything around the car into a 1970s-style psychadelic funk party?

Oh, so which car are you going to take to work today?
—The German one.
Hehe, awesome, grats on the car. I had some vague political reference here, but hey; I'll just say the car reminds me of Cuba for some reason. (They have lots of old cars there?) I am sure it will be adventure and one heck of a lot of fun.

Which car are you going to take to work today?
I don't know. Shall I take the Aston?

Ah, that just sounds so good.

I am very impressed on the condition of that car. Way to go! Is it a manual or auto? Best of luck with the mystery knobs.

It's an automatic. Almost all of the knobs have been figured out. There is one that may well be the eject seat, but I think it is broken.
