Going going...

Well, he is not quite gone, but Betta 2 will have a new home tomorrow. For those of you who do not know what I am talking about, Betta 2 is a fish.

I will have had him for almost 8 months to the day. I remember when I got him (April 17th) because he was a center-piece at Jeff and Bonnie's wedding.

Anyways, since he has been living on a high self to stay safe from the cats, he doesn't really get an attention. I must clarify, Aleph and Fifo were always nice and like Betta 2. We trust them not to eat him, but they do enjoy drinking the water. Either way, I doubt the fish enjoys cat tongues in his bowl (and the cats should not eat fish poops).

The other big hassle is that we will be going out of town for a few days this holiday. It is hard to get someone to come to the house twice a day to feed him. So, today I sent out an email to my team asking if anyone would like to have him. With in moments, the guy across the hall said "I'll take your betta." So there it is — tomorrow he will have a new home. He will be missed when he is gone.

it's the end of an era.

You guys still planning on making a Los Alamos appearance this month? Dan hasn't sent a schedule with... you know... dates on it.

He hasn't talked to me about going to Los Alamos. He did mention that he was hoping we would meet up with you. What I do know is that we will be in Santa Fe and if we plan for it we can go to Los Alamos.

We have to be in Santa Fe the 24th and Rio Rancho the 25th. That leave the 23rd and part of the 24th free for whichever place. I know we have a few other places to be and things like that, but we haven’t told anyone dates. What would work for you? I can try to get actual set plans on what city we will be in.

Any of those dates work for me; I have no plans other than decompression from my recent trip. If you wanted to be a super pal and, ya know, pay me back for the years of faithful friendship I've provided you (wait—we've never met), the three of us could hang out on the night of the 23rd as it is my birthday and current forecasts call for me to be sitting on my ass by myself playing arcade games.

I'm only going to show up if we play Fire Truck.

Coming all the way up to Los Alamos isn't really required; I can come down to SF if you want. But the arcade machine is tempting you, isn't it. FIRETRUCK.... mmmm...

I guess you should meet Sir Groganov The Flatulent (aka Harvey Manfrenjensenton, aka Chairman Meow, aka Poopship Destroyer, aka Tremendous Jackass, aka Chancellor Gorkon) too.

Of course my real motivation here is to prove, once and for all, that this "Layla" character is just a figment of Dan's imagination. Personally, I don't think she exists.

We can go up to Los Alamos Friday night if you would like. I assume Dan knows where you live. If not you should, you know, tell us.

If you would like me to put little bows on Chairman Meow, let me know and I will bring extra ribbons.

My real motivation here is to prove that Sir Groganov the Flatulent doesn't really exist, either.
