Cat can
These pictures are already a bit old (note the lovely bright red timestamp) but they are still amusing. I am surprised that I have forgotten completely about them. Yes, that is a cat in a little can, or basket. That my friends, is Aleph sitting in the office trash can (used only for holding paper or kitties).
I remember the day vividly. I picked Aleph up and put him in the little basket. Naturally, I figured he would jump right out. I was wrong. He was quite content — he sat in that thing for a half hour. Note that he and his little sitting basket are in different places in the different pictures. He actually let us pick it up and carry him around in it. He just sat there, happy as can be.
Anyways, now you have seen a cat in a tiny metal waste basket.

Damn, if I wasn't in Vienna I'd counter your cat can shots with some Cat Saucepan shots starring none other than Sir Groganov the Flatulent. But as it is, these shots are stranded in my computer at home. :(

And lo, the lord spake forth, "open your Remote Desktop port on yonder internet gateway device and enable it on the most holiest of workstations."
Of course, you'll have to be back in NM to do this...but whatever. Remote desktop foo.

1) the computer is off
2) the computer is in my office
3) the computer is lab property and they hath decreed, "there shalt me no pouring of sulfiric acid on thy genitals. And also no remote desktop."
Sources were not available for comment on whether it was OK to use said lab computer as a storage device for pictures of my cats.

So, which is it? Is the computer at home, or in your office?

So you know, being in Vienna has earned you zero sympathy points.
Still, I will wait patiently for you to return to your neglected computer so that I can see these pictures you speak of.
