Not so tasty
>After being gone from Tech for awhile and then returning, a few things have changed. The most exciting thing to hear was that a coffee shop finally opened on campus.
Mmmm coffee. I have to admit I need my coffee. I also know that have become very spoiled. Living in Seattle it is odd to be farther than walking distance to a coffee shop — with decent coffee.
Where was I? Oh yes, Tech has a new coffee shop in the library. Tired and in need of some tasty caffeine I wondered over there.
Well, I don't know if it can really be called a coffee shop. There were three pitchers of coffee (one of them decaf). Who knows how long they had been sitting there. I have no idea where they even found water to make the coffee. It gets even better... they didn't have lids or cream. They did have the little stirry sticks so I guess they get points for that?
Perhaps I am just picky about my coffee.
Oh, the best part ... the register looked like a toy. It sat on a little table with handwritten sign hanging down. I felt like I was at the first indoor lemonade stand. Needless to say, I got a very odd look and then a quick no when I hesitantly asked if they took credit cards.
I miss Seattle.

Yeah, I was totally unimpressed. It's worse than the chartwells coffee shop or the SAC coffee shop. We need a real source goddamnit.

*sigh* We love Chartwells. They force mediocrity down our throats for food here, and we have to take it due to a long-term contract. Yay?
